Great, as suggested in #6 I installed the plugin from Debian. Just download the deb file from a mirror[0] and install it (double clicking should open the software center). Works for me. Hopefully the plugin gets updated in Ubuntu as well, latest with the next version. :) Not really user friendly to need to install it separately from debian.
