Sebastien , do not miss understand me, I love Ubuntu. The idea of having to switch to something else because of this has sort of ruined my day. I do not want to do it. It is just that for me, and I am sure for some other people as well, being able to open a file in a new window is something too fundamental to my workflow and is annoying beyond words.
After reading the comments in the GNOME bug for their 'Reasons' ... I am at a loss for words. This change is a poor choice to say the least. If Ubuntu plans to add a patch to this package to revert this change or make a better file browser of their own, I would be very excited to hear that. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1242982 Title: Can't open in new window To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1242982/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
