Public bug reported: As per summary. The indicator is showing the little blue flag that says I have new messages, when I don't. The only two active applications on it, Thunderbird and xchat-gnome have nothing new.
To compound the problem, there's a terribly useful-looking "Clear" option at the bottom of the indicator's menu... which is greyed out, so I can't use it to clear the flag. Screenshot says it all...
