Public bug reported:

With Saucy, Google Chrome and Chromium are prone to display corruption.

Intel chipsets seem to be the most common complaints. I see something
similar on Nvidia+nouveau, but I'm not sure it's the same problem.

In browser "about:flags", turning options off that mention compositing
and GPU does not seem to help, though I would like more confirmation of
this.

It could be some interaction with the compositing manager in Ubuntu.
It's not a display-only problem, as screenshots do capture it.
