Had similar problem. Baddrawable error, no firefox. Removed "remember" settings from ~/.fluxbox/apps and success, firefox now starts normally. Further delving might discover which remember setting. Position, Dimensions, Stick were my big three. Had previous constant failure with starting shaded. Good luck all~
