Description: Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) daemon
The Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) provides a standard way to transmit
datagrams over a serial link, as well as a standard way for the machines at
either end of
the link (the "peers") to negotiate various optional characteristics of the
link. Using PPP, a serial link can be used to transmit Internet Protocol (IP)
datagrams, allowing TCP/IP connections between the peers.

Description: network management framework (PPTP plugin)
NetworkManager attempts to keep an active network connection available at all
times. It is intended primarily for laptops where it allows easy switching
betwen local wireless networks, it's also useful on desktops with a selection
of different interfaces to use. It is not intended for usage on servers.
This package provides a VPN plugin for PPTP, commonly used for connecting to
Microsoft VPN servers.
