** Description changed: Dear Release Team, Sorry for the late call, but the Ubuntu Touch's multimedia team has been working on GStreamer 1.0 support in qtmultimedia, and it has resulted in relatively invasive changes. For that reason they are suggesting a - forked and renamed qtmultimedia to have alongside official upstream - version, until there's an upstream version which contains all of the - needed support. + forked and renamed qtmultimedia (qtmultimedia-opensource-src-touch) to + have alongside official upstream version, until there's an upstream + version which contains all of the needed support. That packaging currently lies at lp:~phablet-team/phablet-extras /qtmultimedia-touch and the sources at - https://github.com/jhodapp/qtmultimedia + https://github.com/jhodapp/qtmultimedia. It's based on Qt Multimedia + 5.1.1, and installing the -touch packages divert the normal Qt + Multimedia libraries away (cleaned up when removing). The FFe would be about allowing this alternate qtmultimedia package to be uploaded, as long as it does not disturb the normal qtmultimedia packages.
