I'm not sure about the point that it doesn't come installed in firefox.
This certificate whose Serial Number is
"6e:cc:7a:a5:a7:03:20:09:b8:ce:bc:f4:e9:52:d4:91" does appears in my
firefox certmanager on both window/linux.

Also, firefox does validate the SSL  chain when connecting to a server
not providing this intermediate certificate during the ssl handshake.
