I can confirm this issue with Ubuntu 6.06.1, i386. It is depandency problem, realplayer package declares depandency on xlibs package but that package is not available:
# apt-get install xlibs Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree... Done Package xlibs is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source However the following packages replace it: libxft1 xkeyboard-config E: Package xlibs has no installation candidate # apt-cache show realplayer Package: realplayer Priority: optional Section: multiverse/net Installed-Size: 208 Maintainer: Christian Marillat <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Architecture: i386 Version: 8.0.11 Replaces: rvplayer Provides: rvplayer Depends: debconf (>= 0.9.53), xlibs, libc6, cpio Suggests: netscape Conflicts: rvplayer Filename: pool/multiverse/r/realplayer/realplayer_8.0.11_i386.deb Size: 22534 MD5sum: 383b165af4de00b0c0d1936bea38a992 Description: Real Player (installer) .... -- Not installable https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/58554 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
