Hey, the option's reappeared now. There was a kernel update with associated tweaks & twiddles today, maybe that fixed it. Or maybe the option was there all along and I somehow missed it. So this bug can be written off as fixed, if it existed in the first place. But I would still like to see some response to my <a href="https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunderbird/+bug/1208719";>previous bug report</a>, hopefully including an intention to finally restore the progress bar for unread mail across the Thunderbird launcher, because this is a major asset of convenience, being visible from across the room, unlike other forms of email alert.
