Bug is still there in 10.04.
I made sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
after a reboot the system hangs on /scripts/init-bottom at
[ 6.9965525] sd 10:0:0:3: [sde] Attached SCSI removable disk

the above line changes if I plug other USB devices but the error is the same
If I insert a USB disk or SD card in the reader after the hangs the system
shows additional lines identifying the device, so the system is not freezed but
is waiting for what????

I don't know what is waiting for but suspect something stop the shell
loading.
