Public bug reported: gvfs, or giobackend for duplicity, is unstable at best and will stop uploading files after a few hundred megabytes or so. As such, backing up to SMB/FTP/SFTP does not work well and backups are not fully created.
A way to solve this could be adding an option to NOT use gvfs and use alternative programs such as ncftp, which duplicity uses without the --gio argument, or backing up to a rsync server. I'm using Ubuntu 13.04 and using version 26.0-0ubuntu1 of deja-dup. ** Affects: deja-dup (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: gio giobackend gvfs unstable -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1220270 Title: gvfs is unstable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/deja-dup/+bug/1220270/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
