The log at comment #4 was with workaround from http://www.webupd8.org/2013/01/fix-wireless-or-wired-network-not.html i.e.: sudo gedit /etc/pm/config.d/unload_modules add line: SUSPEND_MODULES="$SUSPEND_MODULES r8169"
