Unlike 3.5 kernels, the situation is quite different while using the 3.8
raring kernel,

Steps (with 3.8 kernel installed):
1. Boot to desktop.
2. Suspend from the system menu.
3. Press the power button to wake it up.

Actual result:
1. The unlock screen appears, but the system is extremely slow. I was unable to 
unlock it.
2. Display switched to console mode and the following error messages pops-out
[ PFB][0000:05:00.0] trapped read at 0x002001a020 on channel 0x0001fb34 
SEMAPHORE_BG/PFIFO_READ/00 reason: PAGE_NOT_PRESENT
[ 1296] failed to idel channel 0xcccc0000
3. After a few seconds, system switched back to the login screen, if you 
attempt to login, it repeats itself from 2.
