Public bug reported:

I am using a laptop with an external monitor.

Laptop LCD: 1440x900 max
External (VGA): 1920x1080 max

Reproduce bug:
1.) Open LXRandR
2) Click on "Show the same screen on both Laptop LCD and external monitor"

Expected behaviour:
LXRandR chooses a resolution for both screens that the lower one can show the
full desktop

What happens:
LXRandR applies the maximal resolution and "cuts" the screen on the lower
resolution device
