I am quite happy with my 12.04 and want to use it as "long Time Stable". 
I think also 12.04 should be supported carefully.

My intention was, as you know, to give you some information related to

which is the same as Bug 1208132 to my mind.

As I said: Something changed between Kernel 3.2.0.39 and 3.2.0.40.

I would be happy to help fixing the bug in 12.04 and can do whatever 
test you want me to do. But I do not want to upgrade to the next non LTS 
version of Ubuntu.
