Two quick corrections/addenda: 1. I'm not sure why this got categorized under gnome-terminal; I thought I specified the "terminator" package during submission. Sorry for any confusion. I'm a bit new at this.
2. On further experimentation, I'm pretty sure terminator starts a selection if the mouse pointer moves so much as ONE PIXEL in any direction during a click. So it's even more sensitive than described at first -- looks like character cell boundaries have nothing to do with it. Also, the symptom can appear with any click, not just one that brings focus to the terminal window. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1209002 Title: Click-to-focus causes unwanted text selection in terminator To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/1209002/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
