This does indeed sound like a bad disk so I'm afraid this is not a true
bug report. If the CD is somehow damaged, it is quite common for the
install to fail in peculiar ways (as it did now).
I'm afraid I'll have to reject this bug. Did you burn the CD yourself or
did you order it from Shipit?
