I also have the Dell XPS 18" touch screen "all-in-one" type computer.
Because Windows 8 is on the computer, and no way to re-install it (MS
does not provide), I can only boot directly to Ubuntu 13.04 from the
LiveDVD written to USB, which I have done successfully.  However Ubuntu
is not providing touch screen support "out of the box", but neither is
LinuxMint 15 which I also tried. The only way I've gotten Mint and
Ubuntu to have some touch screen support is running it as a vm guest
under VMware Player.

Anyway, with Ubuntu 13.04 booted from USB (LiveDVD), here is the output
of dmidecode per your request.

root@ubuntu:~# sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s
