Public bug reported: Hi. I've noticed, that Parole media player does not load subtitles. After insert a CD with movie (e.g. in *avi format) and try to play, Parole, even with selected "Automatically load subtitles when playing movie file" option, simply does not load subtitles. Encoding is set to: Unicode (UTF-8), but changing to another Encoding does not work at all. Of course a file with subtitles exist and is on the CD.
I've tried to play, this movie also on others programs. VLC could not even open '.avi' file. Maybe it is my fault, but I checked all options. Only Totem player works OK - no problem with anything, subtitles are loading automatically etc. I would like to, make Parole media player, automatically load subtitles. One more thing: I'm using Xubuntu 12.04 LTS. ## 'ubuntu-bug parole' command results: * Problem type: bug * ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu17.3 * Non free modules: nvidia * Package architecture: i386 * Parole media player version: 0.2.0.6-1 Distribution-specific information: ,-----[ lsb_release -a ] | No LSB modules are available. | Distributor ID: Ubuntu | Description: Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS | Release: 12.04 | Codename: precise `----- Best regards. ** Affects: parole (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: parole subtitles -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1203083 Title: Parole media player does not load subtitles.
