I did a fresh install but add an add on nic in order to get the proposed (27-40). Once the proposed kernel was installed the tg3 driver worked fine.
Two gotchas the add on card showed up as "p3p1" device name, and the tg3 nic "p7p1"... I was expecting this kernel to fix https://bugs.launchpad.net/opencompute/+bug/1179774 as well... but it is still broken in raring-proposed. I'm going to change this bug to certification-done, as it does fix the tg3 driver. ** Tags removed: verification-needed-raring ** Tags added: verification-done-raring -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1178899 Title: Add tg3 driver support for Broadcom 5725 (NIC) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/opencompute/+bug/1178899/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
