I found this page while researching a problem that has been affecting me for a couple of weeks. I'm running xubuntu-13.04 x64 (upgraded from 12.10) on an Asus X52 notebook.
As other users have reported my session was being repeatedly logged out at seemingly random intervals with no identifiable trigger. As suggested in earlier posts I configured the 'raring-proposed' repository and upgraded 'xfce4-session' from '4.10.0-2ubuntu-1' to '4.10.0-2ubuntu-1.1' and my system now appears to be stable.
