The bug affects me too, I'm using Precise 12.04.2 on an HP Pavilion Elite hpe-130it computer (motherboard MS-7613, BIOS version 5.15, Intel i5-650 CPU ). However, Memtest works fine if I use the bootable ISO available on memtest.org, using both the latest version and the one that comes with the Ubuntu 12.04.2 DVD, so I think it's not a Memtest developer's fault.
