Workaround: 1. Let PureAdmin create the user and group with ID at around 100. 2. Close PureAdmin. 3. Change user id and group id to something above 1000 (e.g. "usermod ftpuser -u 1020" and "groupmod ftpgroup -g 1021") 4. Edit /root/.pureadminrc: Replace the values for "defaultuid" and "defaultgid" with the new values you just assigned. 5. Run PureAdmin.
