Hello, at least i tried to install kubuntu feisty on my hpt370 raid array. I followed the instructions in the tutorial from https://help.ubuntu.com/community/FakeRaidHowto . After installing the kernel (2.6.16) to the new system onto the raid i suddenly cant get any access via dmraid anymore. dmraid produces nearly the same error as yours. As i am using different hardware as you. Mainboard Abit KT7A-Raid with highpoint HPT370 Raid controller. As i destroyed my existing stripping raid and lost all my data with this trial i am not using raid functionality anymore.
