I am new to Linux and just loaded Ubuntu 12.04. Even during install I
had to use the keyboard to complete it. I can move the cursor with the
mouse without problem, it's just that I am unable to left click on
anything all of a sudden. I have tried all the above suggestions to no
avail. My mouse is a Logitech M510. Does anyone have suggestions on a
mouse that isn't susceptible to this bug?

** Description changed:

Since the last updates to Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 2 (as of March 12), Unity no
longer recognizes the wireless mouse after a reboot or when the OS is
  initially started.

The workaround is to unplug the USB Mouse and plug it back in.
