Could you please attach the output of the following:
dpkg --list *gstreamer*|grep ^ii
Also, could you use gst-launch-0.10 (see 'man gst-launch-0.10' if this
is unclear) to get more verbose output from gstreamer?
Like this:
GST_DEBUG_NO_COLOR=1 gst-launch-0.10 \
--gst-debug=*:5 playbin \
uri=file:///home/yourusername/yourmusicfile.mp3 > debug.txt
