Running Ubuntu 12.10 on OS 64 bit Hoping for a fix or diagnosis maybe through a cut and paste terminal command that will evaluate or rebuild the components that govern this process.

Tried uninstalling update Manager and re-installing, but that did not help. Same error messages given for upgrade attempts.
