I have only had 13.04 on this machine. I have a clean install of 13.04/amd64/desktop from the release media, instead of the beta media. I've re-installed most of my packages and am waiting to see if the problem occurs again. Assuming the problem comes back, I will test the upstream kernel next. Turns out my hardware
