Public bug reported: I have not much used Empathy in the past but now that I have upgraded to Ubuntu 13.04 I decided to give it a try. I am running 64 bit version of Ubuntu on a Dell Inspiron 17R with 4GB RAM. Well, in short empathy does not work. I have FB, Google talk and Yahoo set up. When I start up Empathy it starts very slow. Many times going unresponsive. When a message comes in, empathy does not always catch it and I only see it on FB chat on the browser. Sometimes the message appears in the popup bubble from empathy, but no window open and I need to open empathy, scroll down to the name of the person to be able to response. Not really functional.
