I have exactly the same problem since I have updated Ubuntu to the 13.04. I have the same version of cifs-utils than Mark Andrew Wheadon.
One precision, in my case I don't have the problem with Windows partitions, but only with AS400 IFS partitions. Is there a workaround ?
