Thanks Alexander... Having one developer develop a deb (or two or three) and distributing them make more sense, as most of us aren't developers per se, and the recompiling is likely to provide inconsistent results. I'll install a package that I can remove and replace with the originals, but I'm not likely to compile from source, at least not without copy-and-paste instructions that we can all follow, making it more worth the time and potential down-time. I realize that I'm but one person.
