Hi Marco, thanks for this – this is really a great workaround for as long as the fix isn't included in the kernel.
When I use this boot parameter (on a Folio 13-2000) UPower recognizes un/plugging of the ac adapter and the special keys (brightness +/- and wireless adapter toggle) are working.
