Well, this bug is still there, when my wifes laptop upgraded the kernel
to 3.2.0-40-generic-pae, wireless died again for the 4 th or 5 th time,
solution was again to go to the /compat-wireless directory, sudo make,
sudo make install, and then reboot. These steps seem to indicate that
the standard build somehow cannot build a proper working driver with
correct antenna support code. Luckily my wife has aomeone ( ME ) that
can recompile her wireless driver, so all is well until NEXT time the
kernel is updated.
