Public bug reported: When the screen is locked in kde 4.10, it is no-longer possible to unlock it. This is the case regardless of lock mechanism (suspend, manual lock, screen-locker test). This is only happening since upgrading from kubuntu quantal to kubuntu raring. There is no way to exit the lockscreen other than killing X or hard rebooting.
Similar report here https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1239119#p1239119 , with the only solution "try a new user profile". I'd prefer not to loose all my KDE settings. $ lsb_release -a LSB Version: core-2.0-amd64:core-2.0-noarch:core-3.0-amd64:core-3.0-noarch:core-3.1-amd64:core-3.1-noarch:core-3.2-amd64:core-3.2-noarch:core-4.0-amd64:core-4.0-noarch Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu 13.04 Release: 13.04 Codename: raring $ apt-cache policy kdebase-workspace kdebase-workspace: Installed: (none) Candidate: 4:4.10.2-0ubuntu2 Version table: 4:4.10.2-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://au.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ raring/universe amd64 Packages 4:4.8.5-0ubuntu0.3+kxstudio1 0 500 http://ppa.launchpad.net/kxstudio-team/kxstudio/ubuntu/ precise/main amd64 Packages ** Affects: kde-workspace (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: - When the screen is locked in kde 4.10, the is no-longer possible to + When the screen is locked in kde 4.10, it is no-longer possible to unlock it.
