Sorry - haven't been able to test all these kernels yet so will report back when I've had a chance.
However, what I have discovered is that the bug has something to do with the "quiet" and/or "splash" kernel options: I remove these so my init menu works correctly. However, I've reverted back to stock kernel command-line options and the problem appears to have gone (no sign of issues in 8 boots). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1103406 Title: kernel disabled console output and keyboard lights in early boot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1103406/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
