I had an issue where asus-nb-wmi was preventing a new ASUS N75A laptop from
consuming wi-fi:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1172151

After blacklisting asus-nb-wmi, wi-fi worked perfectly, and the laptop's
function keys still worked fine.
