I'm experiencing this bug on every other boot since a few months now. At first, I was using 12.10 but last week I updated to 13.04 and the issue remains;
- the Ubuntu boot logo shows up - then the screen goes black - a movable mouse cursor becomes visible in the center of the screen - a blinking cursor appears in the top left corner - nothing happens until I switch to a console prompt via CTRL-ALT-F1…6 With the console, I can restart lightdm and everything works fine from there on.
