to #6: As I have already mentioned It did not happened again after reboot - means that errors appeared just within one booting up process, for a lot of software. I did not find this error from that time for any following booting up process, yet. I am using the same version of the kernel 3.8.0-18-generic 64bit. I cannot boot up to any other official Ubuntu kernel version/s because I do not have them installed.
(( I have installed my own compiled kernels and mainline kernel 3.9.0-999 daily build installed each week automatically but that is out of this context. )) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1169884 Title: kernel crash , unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 000000000000003c To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1169884/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
