These workarounds do NOT work for me:
-right click on the video and change the setting "Local Storage" to unlimited
-adding "export XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1" to the end of /usr/bin/firefox

How do I implement the bash script posted by Filip Pawlak? I tried it
just in a random folder and also in /usr/bin, but it returns an error in
both cases.

If I wait until the end of a youtube video, so that the links to other
videos appear, it seems to reduce the frequency of the crashes.

Thank god for firefox restore! You can use the "Flashblock" firefox add-
on so that when you restore the page after a crash, the flash doesn't
start running again.
