I don't know how to verify whether "Io.class" is truncated, since I
don't how to decompile that file.

Note that your bug is about an obsolete Ubuntu release, i.e., that
release will never get updated any more.

So you can install latest official UnRAR by downloading its source and compile 
it yourself.

# After download and uncompress "UnRAR source"
sudo apt-get install build-essential
cd unrar
make -f makefile.unix
sudo cp unrar /usr/local/bin/

Alternatively you can upgrade to a more recent Ubuntu release, if you
haven't done that yet.

I'd mark this bug as Incomplete, please comment whether you still have
same issue after UnRAR upgrading.
