This bug also affects my laptop. HP Pavillion DV2910 US. I also have a fast SSD installed. This bug also affects Kubuntu 12.04 as well as Linux Mint which is based on Ubuntu so it must be a common component between the distros. It also happens with the new 13.04 beta 2 so it is still not fixed.
