Ubuntu 12.04 LTS: I just switched mouses and my new mouse is too fast even at minimum speed in the settings menu. old mouse: Dell mouse m-uvdel1 new mouse: Logitech mouse m-u0026 (from a Logitech MK120 mouse-keyboard set) The new mouse is significantly faster at the lowest Ubuntu mouse speed setting. I can make it more usable by playing around with the xset command, but this is not permanent. When searching online for solutions, xset commands are mentioned and modifying Xorg config files. Is this fixed in later Ubuntu versions? + --- + ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu17.1 + Architecture: amd64 + DistroCodename: precise + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 + DistroVariant: ubuntu + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Release amd64 (20130213) + MarkForUpload: True + NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx + Package: xserver-xorg-input-mouse (not installed) + ProcEnviron: + LANGUAGE=nl_BE:nl + TERM=xterm + PATH=(custom, no user) + LANG=nl_BE.UTF-8 + SHELL=/bin/bash + ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.5.0-26.42~precise1-generic 3.5.7.6 + Tags: precise running-unity ubuntu + Uname: Linux 3.5.0-26-generic x86_64 + UnreportableReason: Please work this issue through technical support channels first. + UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) + UserGroups: adm cdrom dip lpadmin plugdev sambashare sudo -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1163492 Title: mouse speed too fast at lowest level To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-mouse/+bug/1163492/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
