I've uploaded the fix to Raring which will become Ubuntu release 13.04. If you would like to see this fixed in Ubuntu 12.04 please fill out Stable Release Update information for this bug report following the guidelines at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates and I'll be happy to get this uploaded to Precise for you.
