@tigrangab: Well, not quite with default available themes in Unity: it does not highlight with ambiance, nor radiance, nor highcontrast. It "kind of" works with Numix (http://satya164.deviantart.com/art/Numix-GTK3-theme-360223962), that is it does highlight, but colors are wrong, and I get white on light grey highlighting instead of white on red...
