I don't think this bug should be on a "wishlist" status, it removes
significant functionality from people with a widescreen monitor.

For example, my grandfather's computer running Feisty has a vt3230
chipset and a widescreen LCD monitor. Because the vt3230 chipset is
unsupported (despite what the package description says) he can't use a
widescreen resolution, because the vesa driver does not support
widescreen.

I suspect many other people have this problem and it's big enough to
drive people away from Ubuntu. At the very least we should note in the
package description that vt3230 is not supported, because this causes
confusion.
