Sorry for the long delay in writing, Joseph. It's been hectic as heck. Right - every time I install a new kernel, the linux-image-extra comes with it, and I install it.
This is what goes in - the image, image-extra, headers and generic headers every single time. Incidentally, I'm now on 3.8.0-12 and this driver still isn't firing. At least in 3.8.0-12-generic, and -lowlatency, performing a modprobe -r ar5523, and removing the device to replug it doesn't cause a kernel panic, so I suppose that's a plus if nothing else. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1113048 Title: ar5523 driver fails to activate device (129B:160C) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1113048/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
