I'm seeing it work fine for WEP (hex / passphrase) and WPA (passphrase) networks, however I happened across an unsecure (open) network earlier this week and couldn't connect.
The Wireless light on the laptop lit up solid (indicating association on the ipw3945), but shortly after it would start blinking again. Network manager seemed to be forcing it to re-associate again and again. Disabling wireless in network-manager would allow the card to associate properly, and I could manually connect by running dhclient. -- [Gutsy]Network Manager Applet can't connect wireless with ipw3945 driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/121439 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
