This is a result of /run being mounted from the initramfs. mountall doesn't attempt to remount any filesystems that are already mounted, it just records them in /etc/mtab with 'mount -f'. This has previously been reported as bug #1039887.
I think having the wrong default mount options for /run is an initramfs- tools bug, rather than a mountall bug; initramfs-tools should get the mount options right without us having to remount anything. ** Package changed: mountall (Ubuntu) => initramfs-tools (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: initramfs-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: initramfs-tools (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1152744 Title: mountall is lying about /run's noexec To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/initramfs-tools/+bug/1152744/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
