Albert: The link to the official drivers only lists an RT3290 Windows driver for PCIe and I'm running Quantal on an HP Pavilion dm1 which is amd64; also, the discussion link was for RT3562 on Oneiric. As a result, I am a little reluctant to try what may cause more trouble. As things stand, I have wireless when needed and no bluetooth (which I don't need anyway).
